    Question Which fonts to install?

Often I get a little square with numbers where there should be a special character, like the euro sign or the paragraph sign.

Which packages should I install to see all these characters properly?

Yes, those are the same 111 that I found using apt-get.

Are you suggesting I should install them all?

What are xfonts used for? What is Truetype? And Ghostscript?

I am only pointing you were to look for the fonts.
xfonts are what the xwindows manager uses your bash and browsers.
ghostscript is the same as a postscript.
here is a link for turetype fonts http://www.truetype-typography.com/ttspec.htm

    Strange...

I copy-pasted that from a website where I cannot see them. When I pasted them in the edit window for posting on this forum, I could not see them. Only now that I review my post I can.

    It says TM, right?
