    A Download Monitor

    Hello,

I use Sify for Internet Service...

Can someone suggest an application I should use to monitor the amount of download data that has been through my NIC from the start of my Session from the internet provider. Even if it does not tell me from the start of the Session, I atleast need to know the amount of Data that has been coming to my system!

Is there a command line application? Even if there is a simple shell script it should do!
    I use Ubuntu Dapper Drake.
And I have a limit of 150MB a day from Sify.

    Thanks a million,
    Savio Monteiro.

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

You might want to look into iftop.
Flies of a particular kind, i.e. time-flies, are fond of an arrow.
