    I need to find the ip of my debian file server. and the public ip, not the 192.blah.blah.bla.h the only thing is, its headless and doesnt have a great graphics card so i cant just go on a site and find it... any way for me to find my headless server's public ip????

    try using ssh to get in and then use ifconfig to find public ip.

    I personally would use lynx/links/elinks and visit whatismyip.com
