    X server

X Windows System Graphical User Interface wants me to choose a video card driver. I have no idea wtf I am doing. This is my motherboard:
My Mobo. I am also using an "AMD Athalon XP 1.5ghz CPU. If anyone can suggest or know what I need to choose for the driver please post. It highlights "vesa" for me but the install before that my screen wierded out, when I chose that option. I am on my way to work so I will not be able to answer, give more info, or let you know if it worked until I get home. Thanks for helping and reading this.

No one knows? I tried via, and s3. This time I get an error that says can not be started try to reconfigure " xserver". How can I do this from the command prompt.

Install savage x11 driver from the Debian package server-xorg-video-savage ('# apt-get install server-xorg-video-savage'), this is for Xorg and not XFree86. When you have installed the package you will have to edit the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. There are several command line editors you can try to use: 'vi', 'vim', 'nano', emacs'.

If you want to use XFree86 or only default drivers I suggest that you try the generic 'vga' driver and see if it works.
