Problems with USB2
Today I tried installing a USB2 PCI card into my machine. It got caught by udev, creating a device for my favorite flash stick as supposed, and I made a dd if=/dev/zero of 128 MiB to check the write speed. It was around 6 MB/s, no problem. Then I wanted to check the read speed, but after reading a certain amount of data (say 8 megabytes), a message appeared:
usb 1-4: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4
Then the parent process locked up and the read proces started over, going into a never-ending cycle. I had to kill the process because my flash stick got quite hot.
There's nothing written on that damn package, so I can't give you any hardware information.
Any ideas?
