    Cmi 8738

    Has anyone had any luck installing a CMI8738 audio card??

    I've tried many times to get this card to play sound, but it won't play anything.

    I'm listed under the audio groups
    soundcore is loaded
    volumes are all turned to max
    alsaconf detects card (it actually detects it twice...)
    I've tried installing the alsa-driver-1.0.9, which I think was successful, and which I believe is the recommended driver for it, it came with a driver that I couldn't compile...

    If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!
