Create a !New Linux!?!!
Hello for all,
I wonder to create a distro in arabic, for that I am looking docs and experiences to inspire from.
I am testing LFS, I think it's a good point of start, I do that on Debian, I am testing also bootcd and mklivecd to create an installer.
You say that there are many many distributions of Linux, I am agree with you, but in arabic there are very very few, not more than 2, and they are not maintained (updated) regularlly.
Can you help me please.
I would like to know about legeslative (law)
Thank's ..

instead of making a disto based on debian with arabic support, you might help a project that already exists to add more arabic support to debian

You can also look at Rock Linux for a build from scratch distro:

I suggest you join the Arabian project http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=arabian or Debian / Fedora / other established distros that always search for help for proper arabian or asian language support. No need to reinvent the wheel once again. If you bundle your forces, you will get a very good distro with arabian support way faster than starting from scratch again.
Just my two cents.Windows free since 2002 | computing since 1984

Thank you all for your responses
Il will take your advices and remarque in consideration, well what I want to say is to create a "NEW" distro, I mean not "arabic debian" or "arabic redhat", and I think that Tl will not be wheel reinvention because there is not a pure arabic distro. About helping other communities I think that is a goor idea I will work for that.
I will be back for other questions
Thank's a lot
