Debian : ip tables
Hello...
I am extremly new to Linux.
I have a project at school and this is what I need to do .
I need to install Debian on a PC ( I already know how to do that ).
I need to set ip tables so I can permit/deny access to Internet or to specific sites.
Can you point me to good links to get info about this?
Thanks in advanced!

Being terse won't encourage anyone to learn even if it is one of the rules.
allan16, install Debian and look at the man page for iptablesGoogle for iptables or search here for any post with iptables.Code:man iptables
If you want someone to tell you exactly how to do your assignment I can see how they would be annoyed with you either because you asked to have them do it for you, or because it's a complex answer that can't be answered in a simple paragraph. It's good that you were honest though and actually said it was for school, you didn't have to say that or none of us here would have known.
I've never messed around with iptables, I've heard it can be fairly complex to set up but then others say it's not so bad. If you read about it and learn do it yourself, if you can, that the best way to learn.
That's the only advice can give you, good luck.
