Unhappy etch won't install, no cdrom mounted

    Hi everyone

I'm trying to install Debian "etch" on my Dell Inspiron 9300, but during the installation, after I choose language, it says "Couldn't mount cdrom", "Insert floppy to load modules ...." or something like that. In SUSE my cdrom is /dev/sr0, I've put it in Debian but it won't work. Also tryed /dev/cdrom, no luck.

    Can anyone help?

    thanks

    thanks a lot wlam

Next time if I need to reinstall etch it will be easier for me.

I managed to install etch using my external sony dvd-rw, but i had to boot from the laptop's cdrom first and then change.

    again, thanks for the link
