    Unhappy Grub 1.5! Error 21!! Help!

    Hey guys right now im using Linux Ubuntu live on cd cuz i cant get my xp home to work or the debian i tried installing or the ubuntu i tried installing on my hard drives.

    i have one exeternal 200gb usb 2.0 hard drive and i partitioned it so i can install debian. like i have 4 ntfs partitions but i left around 40gigs of free space for debian. i did a swap of about almost 800mb and a root folder of about 40 gigs ( i did that default thing where it would do it for me). everything goes fine during the installation its just that it wont boot i get this error

    GRUB 1.5 lodinng please wait....
    ERROR 21

    what do i do? thanks guys

    thanks will try but its not the setup problem i think its the boot where i need to choose which os to initiate it doesnt even show that part and i cant get into xp or debian? but ill try this first thanks

    I have bad news: I didn't managed to solve the problem. I've set up the linux on the fixed drive intead of the mobile one. If you find a solution please share it witn me!
