    Question Disk Quota in Debian

    Hello guys,

How can I set disk quota for a user/group or a directory (e.g. ftp server directory). Do i need to partition my harddisk and install additional packages in order to do so? Or it comes with Debian already!

    Thanks

Some things to look at are the quota and quotatool packages. Having not used them, I can't give any insights or recommendations about either of them, but they claim to do the job.

Looking through the man page for mount, a few filesystem types will allow user and group quota statements, but those statements are ignored. The exception is xfs, which does implement user and group quotas given in the mount command.
