    intel raid

    Hey Random

Ok , so after much troubleshooting found the solution,

You need to set the drive controller in ther Bios to legacy (bear in mind when doing this debian will pick your SATA drives as hda , hdb etc . and not sda , sdb ,)
Only plug the CDrom on to the IDE interface (in my case used as slave, which became hdd

then proceed with your install normally (when prompted with the cd bootup us linux26 (to install the 2.6 kernel) , where u can setup your raid from the install menu and continue from there

I am still busy with the install presently , so i'll post any new findings

    Regards

    Captain

I also have a problem with this. I'm trying to use / as a software RAID 1, but nothing happens. I've set the discs to legacy mode.

Got any further with your installation? Seems to me that it never finds anything when I'm trying to boot from the disk MBR
