help with wget
hi I am new to linux and just trying to learn it for educational purposes. right now Im trying to download some deb files from the internet but wget only works for main directories of pages. for instance it would download example.com but not example.com/directory. At least thats what i believe its doing, since every file i try to download results in a 404 error. Anyhelp would be much appreciated.

Why don't you use the debian mirrors and apt-get to install packages.
