    Hi !

    i think its SATA chipset problem not SATA disk's. check this link.
    a few workaround of this problem also listed there.

    I had the same problem. Failing the link provided to you above, what I did was install the etch (the weekly build) instead. Etch is almost in stable so ...

    Just install Debian Sarge using the 2.6 kernel instead of the default 2.4. At installation prompt, type :
