command line - list users groups

I am using a full GUI.

My question is, is there a command that will display what groups a user is part of. For instance, you run a command and it outputs the initial group and other groups it is a part of. I know this would be a peice of cake in the GUI, but that's not what I want, i need something command line.

    Thanks in advanced

The groups command should do what you want.
