Convert Virtual Linux to Physical

Hi guys. not sure if this is the right place \ forum but since your Linux guys it might be.

Does anyone know a "free" way of making a Virtual Linux machine made in VMWare into a physical box?

I believe you can dd the vmware image back onto a harddisk. I'm not sure, I've never tried it but I know this was how a lot of people got the intel developers release of OSX onto normal PCs. I'm not sure of the exact options, I think you need to list the disk size. Check out some of the links for doing this with OSX - I hope this helps.

Hi mate , thanks for the reply.

Well i have tried to ghost it but when i pull the image down to the physical hardware and then reboot i just get GRUB all over the screen

I hope there is a way of doing it.

If anyone else can shine some light on this it would be fab
