    Setting up SSH for tunneling..

I am setting up a debian vmware machine to run ssh on for tunneling web and pop3 service from another PC on another network.

Anyone know of any good articles? The remote PC is a windows machine, and all the articles I've read explain how to do it on a linux to linux scenario.

Also - is squid required for this?

Well, I have SSH up and running.

    However I get the error:
    SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_3.8.1p1 Debian-8.sarge.4
    Protocol mismatch.
Thoughts? I googled, but nothing helpful was found.
