    Debconf Frontend

    I am new to debian. I cant run dkpg-reconfigure for anything. For example

    $ pkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg spits out

    debconf: (Can't locate Debconf/FrontEnd/GNOME.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.8 /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.8 /usr/share/perl/5.8 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at (eval 19) line 2.)
    debconf: falling back to frontend: Noninteractive

    I am 99 percent sure this is because i remember when i upgraded to etch i selected to use GNOME for the dpkg-reconfigure esque configuration programs or something like that....

    I just want to use the normal x-independent frontend! How do i do that? I cant figure it out for the life of me..

    Fixed. Like i said i was new to debian - but in case anyone else does not know:

    dpkg-reconfigure -f readline debconf

    overrides the current interface setting and lets you select a new default frontend that actually works.
