    Net install issue

Hi guys - I decided to go back to linux after years of swapping on and off, i've tried alot of different distros (redhat (back when there was no fedora), fedora, slackware, ubuntu,SUSE) but never really have given debian a chance, so decided to do so. I can't be bothered with downloading an entire dvd image only to have to update 90% of the packages so i decided to go with a net install...

Problem from the beginning, network card isnt recognised argh. Found the linux drivers for it (Ralink RT61 PCI) but they are (of course) in makefile format, and so i'm pretty sure i cant just insert them into the installer (guessing im gunnu have to compile first). Any ideas guys? The drivers can be found here: http://www.ralinktech.com/drivers/Li...1.0.4.0.tar.gz

Oh btw i dont have a linux system to compile the drivers on (if i had, i would have done that already). Im gunnu try running the installer in linux26 and noacpi and see if that changes anything... thx!

No luck so far - installer still didnt find the card. Im writing the net-driver.img file onto a floppy now to see if that works...
