    How to install second drive

    Hello:

I have a Seagate USB drive that I formatted and partitioned in Ubuntu (EXT3). I have now wiped my Ubuntu installation out and installed Debian (much faster on my 800mhz machine and better screen resolution).

Anyway, I now want to install the Seagate that has data on it and hopefully save my data. I am new to the world of Linux and am rather confused my all that needs to be done vs. plug and play. Can someone please point me in the right direction to do this?

if you have udev , just plug in the drive and the linux will recognize you drive.
see the dmesg output for the device node name , than mount it
