root login is disabled in Ubuntu. use 'sudo' in terminal to gain root privileges.

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

yes I can use root in the terminal but I want to login in the screen as root..
What do you mean root login is disabled? How can I enable this, can you give me an instruction about this?

I do not suggest you login as root. There are ways of doing things with root privileges while still being a user, like...

    gksudo nautilus
    gksudo gedit

    hi
you must give your user pass to the sudo not the root pass.

    became root?
type su and the root pass and you will be root

for access the graphcial mode directly with the root user do that in Gnome interface :

    - Go System -- Administration -- Login Screen
    - The login Window Preferences is open go on security
    - Select "Allow local system administrator login" and close

log out and try with the root user and enjoy
