AIGLX + BERYL + effects while playing video

hi, i hope someone can help me with this problem. I've installed beryl on my ibm t40 laptop, with aiglx, everything works just fine but when i play a video (on any movie player) the beryl effect doesn't apply on it. what i mean is, if i try to make the video transparent it just dissapear until its not transparent again. if i move the video window, only the border have the wobbly effect, the video inside this window dissapears, until i stop moving the window.
i've did some googling about this, and found nothing specif like this, even though i found some articles about xgl/aiglx on an ibm t40, but nothing about this video problem.
i've seen that this problem also shows with glxgears.
my computers video card is an ati mobility radeon 7500 32MB, im using the ati/radeon driver (fglrx doesnt work with this model)
everything else works fine and fast.
hope you understand my problem, and sorry about my english.

This might simply be the power and functionality of your graphics card. I know the nVidia GeForce 4400 64MB I had worked great with Compiz and Beryl. It couldn't do the water effects though and strained when playing video.

Aside from that you can try changing the step for trasnparency in beryl-settings-manager to something less sever and see if it appears to fade at all.
