Concerned distro :- Debian Etch (obviously)
Number of times Successfully Installed [Debian etch] by me =6
2 times with Base System and DESKTOP Environment
4 times with just Base system
Additional Info :- Have slow Dialup , Method of installation is :- DVD , Have Debian etch 3 dvd set, I am the only user of this PC , I have the user and root passwds.
Problem :- ONLY with BASE SYSTEM installs
Whats the problem? :-
I cannot su (only in the distros that I have installed base sytem and then MYSELF installed kde via the etch dvd ). [i am 100% positive the password and keymap etc are all correct ]
say I am logged in as non-root user khaleel , typeed su , hit enter , typed correct root passwd , it says Authentication Failure , SORRY !
say non root member with login name is khaleel
as root I ran KDE , in KDE User Manager khaleel is member of
audio
Cdrom
