    Set up DNS

    Hello,

    I use Ubuntu 6.06. Recently I buy a domain name that I want to host on my server. I'm new to linux. I managed to install Apache, php, etc, even bind9 for creating a DNS server but i can't make it work.

    How can I create a nameserver, for example, ns1.my_domain.com? I searched over the internet, I found something but not enough.

    If you can give me some advices, examples I would appreciate.

    Perhaps this dns HOWTO will help. This in an excellent site for learning how to set up servers.
