    do i need a graphics card to run this distro

    word: i am new as in last time i gave up after trying ...but i back
    do i need a graphics card for debian 3.1r2 downloaded it a couple months back...im going to install anyway...any advice would be appreciated

    As with any distro (or any OS, for that matter), you need a graphics card if you want to see what you're doing. At least for installing the distro, having a monitor is a good thing, and the monitor needs to plug into something. That something would be the graphics card.

    Once you're up and running, you can do without the graphics card if you want to administer the computer from a remote machine. But yes, you do need a graphics card, at least to start out.
    Stand up and be counted as a Linux user!
