After reading many howto's I downloaded the ATI auto installer and it gives an error something about wrong x-server
Downloaded the free86 deb which has about 6 depends... Or does it take the org?

I did do apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r`
This is one of the last things driving me nuts
Which route would be the best?

In another box I have an ati 7000... After reading howotos Im going to get a 9500 or something. Or have you had better luck with a different brand? I read sokmewhere that N-Vidia has good linux support....
