    X-Window problem-reset

    Hi

I have problem with X window System.

When I try to login in with a GUI environment I enter the correct username and password and it seems that it can't put me in my account instead it makes reset of X-Window System and prompt me again the login screen.

I can't do anything but login as root in text mode and through that I make "startx".

    I have a "Sarge" and XFree86.

What can I do or What I'm looking for?

Check the /var/log/XFree86.0.log file for error messages. If that file doesn't exist, find a file in /var/log who's name suggests it's an X windows log file.

Don't bothered with the date. My clock shows 1 day after today. But I'll fix it.
Of course if you know a solution, I would appreciate it more if you could make me a description of the problem first than tell me only the solution.

    Thank you Anyway

    I found the problem

There was not enough space on Hard drive.
Only the gdm poped-up the appropriate window informing me about the space in hard drive.

I deleted some personal unuseful files in my home directory and I logged on without a problem(I use KDE).
