    Mapping network drives in debian

    Greetings all.

I'm an all new member of this forum AND I have just started to learn Linux

I installed my Linux server following the article perfect_setup_debian_sarge

Now, I have gotten most of it to work (tho I still need to delve a bit deeper into postfix and apache ), but I haven't figured how to access the mounted filesystems I have on my linux machine from windows.
Or access my windows disks in linux.

Take note that I am not using any gfx interface and windows and linuz is not installed on the same compy, so I want to access the disks over my home network.

Only solution I have found so far is to mount the filesystems I want available in my home dir and FTP in to get the files from my win compy, tho that works only one way I guess.

    So any suggestions?

In order to share files from your Linux box in a manner that Windows will understand, you have to use Samba. I'm sure there are tons of tutorials out there, but if you struggle, just post back.
