    hey!
    PLEASE HELP!!!
    1, im a reel newbe on linux, i have bedian gnu/linux now in my computer
    her is the computer info (if needèd) http://prisguide.amobil.no/product.p...=specification

    i cant install my driver to my screen card, its a nVidia GeForce FX 5500.

    can someone PLEASE help my with all this..??
    i have been googlìng for 2weeks now and only find this to my help: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_d..._1.0-9746.html

    iz this the correkt driver? ive tryed too install this out of my x-server, i think? *ass root*
    but i get failure..

    if its possible for me to get this work PLEASE HELP à norwegian n00b like me

    Yes, that's probably the right driver, if you are on a 32 bits system.

    Nvidia is actually pretty easy to install, just follow the directions here:

    Never been able to get compix/beryl to work properly myself, but then again its just eyecandy.

    I also have a Fx5500 card and it runs just fine, I have had issues trying to use a driver newer than 8776 however. So if the 97** drivers give you problems install 8776 driver.
