The Gimp printing problems

Hi, this is my problem : i have a hp psc1310 installed and working for most apps but when i try to print with GIMP nothing happens, can't print. I try to set up the printer in gimp but the printer does not apper in the list how can i configure it to work wit gimp , thnaks i'll relly apreciate the help i have sum things i need to print thank you all .

I have the hp psc1510 printer/scanner, I can print and scan from Open Office and Gimp, I think your problem might be that you need to install a few items from synaptic : I have these (and a few others)
cupsys-driver-gutenprint
foomatic-db-gutenprint
gimp2.0-quiteinsane
hplip-ppds
hplip

Try them and post back , by the way I'm using Etch (but you can probably still get them for stable)

Thanks for the help.!...and as i am a Linux Newbe more questions have apper.. no i will post again for help .
