Can print from most apps, but not from Acrobat reader, and not duplex from Evince

Hi. I have a problem printing pdf's. They won't be printed from Adobe Acrobat Reader. It looks like it works, there briefly is a progress bar and there are no messages in the terminal if I start acroread from there. I can print pdf's from Evince, however, it doesn't print double sided, like I want to. All other applications do print double sided and put a staple through, like I specified using foomatic-gui.

Acrobat Reader says in its status at the print dialog that it is waiting for something to come up, the command it uses is "/usr/bin/lpr -P nashmid", it doesn't help if a change lpd to lp or lpr.

Do you know a solution to my problpem, so that I can print pdf's double sided?

I had the same annoying problem with Adobe, (though I don't print double sided) When you hit the print button and the print dialog comes up hit the printer selection drop down box and select custom, Adobe uses /usr/bin/lp it should be there on the right-hand side box (or set it up that way) hope that helps!
