Does each Debian installation needs its own Swap space?

Simple question, do I need to create a new swap space for each linux installation?
I want to have a debian mail server dual booting with XP, and another debian installation with a Desktop. Would both debian installations used the same swap space or do I need to create two?

In which case, how would I differentiate between them?

No, you can share the same swap partition between the 2 Debian installation.
