Hey I don't know how to get into Debian I'm always at the black text information. I don't know the command to get it into the regular screen. I've installed the x-window-system and gnome. I also installed programs. Now what do I do?

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

To be honest I don't know but I do have Debian installed in virtual box. I press start x in $ when I logged in. I don't know what to do I put in the minimal CD so that I can fully customize Debian. So what can I do? (Is there a command that can help me find what I have to install?)

startx is one "word" - there is no space between start and x.
If you have installed gnome and xorg/xfree86, you should be good to go in regards to things installed.
You may want to configure xorg/xfree86. As root, try typing xf86config...if that doesn't work, try xorgconfig (sorry, I don't know if you have xfree86 or xorg installed). You will want your monitor specifications handy for that one.Looking for a distro? Look here.
