phpMyAdmin
I just install phpMyAdmin and can't seem to get mysql data to open in the phpMyAdmin web,
I can get into it only to find that I have no privileges to get a database, I'm looking to get it right, so I went to find the file config.default.php to configure it, It's not in my files? Need some direction.

I'm also still quite green around the ears...

Are you logged in as root? In my case I was able to log in as root, (leaving the password field blank) and then change anything I want.
Unless you don't have a local server like I do....

Im not sure what you mean by phpMyadmin web.. Are you trying ta access data bases on you web server or a localhost?? IEither way you need to be logged in with your localhost nic and password..
Do you have a MyQslAdmin? On a local sever it lets you choose a nic and password on the first start..
I just downloaded phpTriad which puts an apache server, php.exe, and phpMadmin on your local hard drive Mainly to debug and modify php progs on my site. Also it will ba good learning experience for I can really experiment with any of it and not jeopardize my site.. Google phptriad... There are nix versions of the three....
