defoma/pango creates abiword issues

I installed xscreensaver-gl via synaptic from debian packages, it installed defoma, pango and lib font config during. these are not listed as dependencies for the screensaver and as such would not be removed by uninstalling the saver with dependencies.

the issue is that when I now open abiword the fonts and size etc are not listed and the spell checker button text is missing..thus abi is useless

I am hopeing this can be repaired but am not sure how to undo this damage.
I believe there is some method of reinstateing the old but how.

Thanks anyway...
I reinstalled abiword and the immidiate issue appears solved...

will have to go through the system and see what havic I have initiated with the stupid desire for more screensavers I will likely never use
