cannot start proftpd
Hello,
My problem is that I'm unable to start proftpd. It spams the log with message like this:
My /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf:Code:Mar 18 20:56:36 debian proftpd[6114]: IPv4 getaddrinfo 'debian' error: Name or service not known Mar 18 20:56:36 debian proftpd[6114]: warning: unable to determine IP address of 'debian' Mar 18 20:56:36 debian proftpd[6114]: error: no valid servers configured Mar 18 20:56:36 debian proftpd[6114]: Fatal: error processing configuration file '/etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf'
As you can see, my problem is not related to IPv6 (I've also tried to run it with IPv4 only) but to hostname...Code:# # /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf -- This is a basic ProFTPD configuration file. # To really apply changes reload proftpd after modifications. # # Includes DSO modules Include /etc/proftpd/modules.conf # Set off to disable IPv6 support which is annoying on IPv4 only boxes.
