    Unhappy gstreamer, gst-launch problem

    Hi,

    I am trying to install gstreamer on my system. i try to do a apt-get install gstreamer but it sais it cannot find the package. do i need to adjust my source.list ??
    i also tryed to build it from source but it keeps giving me the error: automake failed
    i ./configure and make install the 1.9 version of automake so it is the newest one.

    i am on debian sarge, does anyone have any idea how to install gstreamer propperly to be able to follow this document ?

    gstreamer is not called gstreamer. There are different versions. Take a look at http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/s...searchon=names
