    Noob Question: how do i install software from cd?

    hi,
    i ve installed debian etch (kde version).
    during installation it didnt ask me at all what software i would like to install (like for instance fedora does)...
    i would like to ask the following

    1)how do i install software from cd?(i have 23 cds but everytime i try to install amarok for example it tries to download it from the net)
    2)how do i know what packs are availiable on each cd?
    3)how do i add repositories so that i can download mp3,mpeg etc packs?

    1) Take a look at your /etc/apt/sources.list and uncomment the cd line. If there is no such line, run apt-cdrom-setup
    2) Take a look at http://www.debian.org/CD/jigdo-cd/#search
    3) Take a look at http://www.debian-multimedia.org/
