Menu Editor
I'm using gnome and trying to install alacarte (or SOME menu editor - i've gotten the "closest" with alacarte). I get this error when configuring:
checking for ALACARTE... configure: error: Package requirements (libgnome-menu >= 2.15) were not met:
Package libgnome-menu was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libgnome-menu.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'libgnome-menu' found
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables ALACARTE_CFLAGS
and ALACARTE_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.
I cannot find the libgnome-menu package anywhere and i do not have libgnome.pc anywhere on my computer. Nor can I find them on the internet.
What Gives?

Have you tried installing it with APT?
