Debian Etch and Opera 9.10/9.20
Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me out resolving a problem I'm having with Opera 9.10/9.20!
I set up Debian Etch on my laptop a week ago, and I've been using Opera 9.10 as my default web browser with no problems. However, after booting up today, I have not been able to get Opera up and running at all. Running Opera from a terminal gives me:
I removed Opera 9.10, downloaded Opera 9.20 and installed, but ended up with the exact same error. I've tried running "opera -debugplugin", and I get some messages about "plugin detection" and "plugin detected successfully", i.e. no visible errors there. I've also tried some of the other -debug arguments, but I haven't seen any errors yet...it simply exits with segmentation fault.
pc@debian:~$ opera

Sooo...anyone? I'll be very grateful for any tips! Cheers

Ok...now it actually seems to be working again. For some reason I had to reduce the color depth from 24bits to 16 bits to get it working. Can anyone explain what's going on here?
Oh well. I'm happy to have it working again!
