    downloading debian

    can someone give me a direct link to the dvd iso or cd iso to burn debian. I went to the website but all the cd testings are like 49 kb or something which is small how do i downloadf it.

    There's four of them, but it's my understand that you only need the first one to actually install Debian. The others are supposedly extra packages.

    If your internet connection is fast enough to be downloading a DVD, you should definitely consider the netinstall option. You do a simple base system installation, then install only the packages you want after that.

    I suggest you try Debian Etch (stable):

    Instead of "testing" (called "lenny" right now), as you'll find testing a bit unstable these days.
