    ATI fglrx installation problem

    Hello,
I'm trying to install the latest (8.36.5) proprietary drivers from ATI on Debian Etch. I'm using the following instructions - http://technowizah.com/2006/10/debia...i-drivers.html. However, the GUI still refuses to start. I am running kernel-2.6.20-1, and have got correct headers installed. I went through the minimum requirements on ATI's page, and everything is ok. The m-a a-i command gave no errors at all. I have tried to install the 8.28 version from the repositories, but that comes up with an error, and no module is made.
