Perhaps you have an ATI card?

I suppose you have to use the free RADEON driver then. Not sure AIGLX works well with the FGLRX driver. I don't have an ATI card anymore to test though.

Nop, the fglrx driver doesn't work at all with AIGLX

Just use "radeon" instead of "fglrx" in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

    Hi
I read somewhere the radeon driver only works with the 9250 series or older cards.
    Is that true?

I know it worked on my old 9550, so perhaps your information is a bit dated.

The best way to know for sure is to try it on your card.
