    minimum packs to run firefox????

    Hello,
    I would like to know what is the minimum packages required to run firefox on debian.
    My goal is to start removing apps so that my debian ends up with just the very basic just to connect on my lan (and wlan) and be able to run firefox.
    I would appreciate it if you could number those packages for me, i am new to linux.

    My suggestion is to install Debian to use the Text mode only ,and then start installing the packages that you need.

    The minimum package required to run firefox are:

    -X11 (xorg or Xfree86)
    -Gtk+
    -Glibc
    -Glib
    -pango
    -cairo
    -freetype
    -libpng
    And sure the package needed to access the internet like ifconfig and iwconfig.

    Probably it's still missing some packages ! but i'm telling you those package because firefox is Gtk+ based .
