    Well,

    one guy wrote a script that did something similar, but it was less than polished.

    I really want to see this particular idea implemented in the compiz fusion community, and I think we should start a petition for such a feature or plugin immediately.

    If I were you, I'd get an account in the open compositing forums and start this thread again there. Or maybe I will...
