What kind of mouse is it?
Optical? Ball? Does it have a number/name?

Did you try restarting your system , if not please try and again if its not working then remove the modules corresponding to the mouse and inert the modules again.

    Hope that works !

    Wink

    you appear to be missing
    Code:
    Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
    from the InputDevice section
free/libre/open software for the people by the people

    XY mouse

    Problem solved - how?

I tried another system with this configuration and
then the Xserver failed (obvious) i did the -configure option
and fixed that.. after that i moved the whole mass into yet another
final machine - compaq deskpro p2/450
and fixed the xorg.conf again.. so now it works..

    no quirky mouse
