no x in lenny after upgrade

i did an aptitude-update && aptitude dist-upgrade in lenny, and x doesn´t work after that.

i was on xorg 1:7.2-3, now i´m on xorg 1:7.2-5. one forum mentioned this new version had some bugs, and that the only solution was to wait for the next one.

is there a way to downgrade to the previous version of xorg?

Did you have any special drivers installed for your video card? Those are linked to the kernel version, so if you upgraded the kernel (as is usually the case with a dist-upgrade) you will need to reinstall your display drivers. This is true for ATI or Nvidia cards.

    well

i use Nvidia linux drivers, and yes i do recompile everytime theres a new kernel. have you tried doing a "apt-get dist-upgrade" again?...maybe it didnt download something, and if everything was downloaded then i need to see the X error message in order to help.
