    IIRC, ndiswrapper doesnt always need to use all the files that are provided for windows - so if it works without, then you may not need to put the .sys file anywhere. Don't rely on my word on this, tho, it's been a while since I've needed to use ndiswrapper - and I don't think that you'll need to use it either: the rt61 chipset is supported by the rt2x00 project.

    I dont think you do, no. Just install and configure the driver.
