Well, it could work, but it seems unnecessary to fold out money on something that shouldn't be necessary.
Before you do that, I'd recommend that you at least try another ...

Before you do that, I'd recommend that you at least try another distro first to see if the problem is Debian-specific. That costs a lot less. ;-)

Well, I tried another card, and I had the same problem.
I am downloading Suse. I have never used this version of Linux. I will see how it goes, and post the results here.

Debian issue
Everything works fine with Suse - the problem lies somewhere within Debian.

Well, in that case, I'm afraid I can't help you with it, since I have no experience with Debian. If you still want to solve it, let's hope someone else can.

I think I am going to stick with Suse for now.
