I'm running SuSe 9.1 Pro... I've looked into Fluxbox, but on their website they only have rpm packages fòr SuSe 9.0. Can you run that on 9.1?...

    Yup, that hidemenu=true was why it was hiding the session types menu in KDM.

    I was having this exact problem - gnome appeared to be installed fine, I just didn't have the menu option to select another WM. I simply made the one change above, and now I am able to select another WM at login. Still don't understand why, as I installed the same version at my office with no problem, but its good now.
